How we protect your personal data

We take personal data security very seriously and will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your personal data.

We partner with Mailchimp to store and process your data on secure servers. Access to your personal data is password protected.

How long will we keep your personal data?

We’ll hold on to your information for as long as is needed to be able to provide our services to you.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so WordPress can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes or prevent abuse, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

Who do we share your personal data with?

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party. We want to earn and maintain your trust, and we believe this is absolutely essential in order do that.

However, we do share your data with the following categories of companies as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you, as set out in this statement:

  • Companies that allow us to provide an email marketing service such as Mailchimp.
  • Professional service providers such as WordPress who help us run our business.

We may provide third parties with aggregated but anonymised information and analytics about our customers and, before we do so, we will make sure that it does not identify you.

This privacy policy does not apply to external websites and we encourage you to read the privacy policies of each website you visit.

Where your personal data may be processed

In order to process your online gift voucher orders and payments, we need to share your personal data with third parties outside the European Economic Area (EEA), i.e. the USA.

Your personal information will be processed in line with the Mailchimp privacy policy in these cases.
